PakBills Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the PakBills app, published by AVORA SIA ("we", "us"). By installing or using PakBills you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What PakBills does
PakBills opens the duplicate bills that Pakistan's electricity and gas companies publish on their own websites, lets you save bill numbers on your device, and offers calculators that estimate bills and equipment sizes. The app is provided free of charge.
Not an official app
PakBills is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government body, PITC, WAPDA, NEPRA, any electricity distribution company, K-Electric, SNGPL or SSGC. Company names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify each company.
Bills and estimates
Bills are shown as the companies' websites provide them. We don't create or change them, and we can't guarantee that they are accurate, complete, up to date or available.
The summary the app shows, such as the amount and due date, is read automatically from the bill page and may be wrong or missing. The bill itself is what counts. Check the amount and due date with your company before you pay.
A bill shown in PakBills is not an official document and is not proof for courts, banks or other official use. For an official copy, contact your company.
Calculator and sizing results are rough estimates, not bills or professional advice.
Your responsibilities
- Look up only bills that are yours or that you have permission to view.
- Use the app only for lawful, personal purposes and follow the terms of the companies' websites.
- Don't use the app to overload, disrupt or scrape the companies' websites, or to get around their security checks.
- Don't copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
- Keep your phone secure: anyone who can unlock it can see your saved bills.
Payments
PakBills doesn't take or process payments. If you pay a bill through a bank, mobile wallet or the company's website, that payment is between you and them.
Other websites and services
The app opens websites and services we don't control, including the companies' bill pages, security checks such as Google reCAPTCHA, your phone and messaging apps, and your browser. Their content, availability and terms are their responsibility.
Availability and changes
Bill lookups depend on the companies' websites, which can be slow, change without notice or be unreachable, for example from outside Pakistan. We may change, suspend or stop the app or any feature at any time.
Licence and ownership
The app, its design and its code belong to AVORA SIA or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use PakBills on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the terms of the app store you got it from.
No warranties
To the extent the law allows, PakBills is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, AVORA SIA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by bill information that is wrong, late or unavailable, such as late payment charges, disconnections or decisions made using the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how PakBills handles information. You can read it in the app under Settings.
Ending use
You can stop using PakBills at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, your licence to use the app ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia will hear disputes about them. If you use PakBills as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll give notice in the app or on its Google Play page before they apply. If you keep using the app after that, the updated terms apply.
